How do children reach a high sink in a public restroom?

Klimbo commercial step stools are foot operated and anchored to the floor. A child pulls the step out with their foot, steps up to reach the sink, and the step retracts away after use so it never becomes a loose tripping hazard.

Are Klimbo step stools ADA compliant for public restrooms?

Klimbo step stools support accessible design by helping children and people of short stature reach standard height sinks. They complement ADA compliant fixtures rather than replace required clearances: under the ADA, at least one lavatory in each accessible restroom must meet the reach and knee clearance requirements.

Does a public building have to make its sinks accessible to children?

Accessibility rules for public establishments, known as ERP in France and covered by the ADA in the United States, require that when restrooms are open to the public at least one lavatory is accessible. Klimbo lets venues extend that access to young children without installing permanent low sinks.

No. The Klimbo K01 and K02 are anchored to the floor and retract after use, and the K03 is removable and repositionable. None of the Klimbo step stools mount to the wall.
