Section 10 28 13 · Toilet Accessories
Everything you need to write a retractable child step stool into a specification: three-part sections in Word, technical data sheets, CAD and Revit files, and a clearance note you can put straight on the drawing. No form, no account, no waiting on a sales call.
The line you are probably missing. A standard-height lavatory is 865 mm (34 in.) at the rim. A four-year-old cannot reach it. The usual answers are to lower a basin, add a second set of fixtures, or leave a loose stool on the floor in a wet room. A floor-anchored retractable step stool does none of those: the child pulls the tread out with a foot, steps up, and the tread folds back on its own afterwards. It belongs in Section 10 28 13, alongside the accessories you are already scheduling.
Four figures decide whether a child can wash their hands at a standard lavatory. They are quoted here verbatim from the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design, so you can check them against your own drawing without leaving this page.

What those four figures leave out. Every one of them works by changing the lavatory: lower the rim, deepen the knee clearance, allow a parallel approach. That is the right answer in a dedicated children's washroom, and it is why a day care builds one. It is not available in an airport, a stadium, a museum, a library, a restaurant or a shopping centre, where the same basin has to serve a four-year-old and a six-foot adult. Lowering the rim there stays within 606.3, which sets a maximum and not a minimum, but it leaves every adult stooping, and on a run of basins it trades one group's comfort for another's.
The 2010 ADA Standards do not mention a step stool anywhere. Adding one is a design decision, taken when the fixture cannot move. What the standards do govern is the accessible lavatory the step must not obstruct: a unit does not go at the required accessible lavatory, as the clearance note further down this page explains.

Standard colour included: RAL 7047 Telegrey. As a priced special order, all three models come in 190 RAL classic colours plus Axalta metallic finishes, with owner branding available. Projection from the counter with the step lowered, K01 and K02: 279 mm (11 in.). Overall height retracted: K01 609.6 mm (24 in.), K02 483 mm (19 in.).

These drawings carry the Klimbo geometry without a model number in the file name. Tell us which model your project uses and you get the drawing set confirmed for that model, plus any format not listed here, usually within the week. Ask for a specific model or format.
Where lavatories are provided, 2010 ADA Standards 213.3.4 requires at least one to comply with 606, and 606.2 requires that lavatory to have a clear floor space for a forward approach and knee and toe clearance complying with 306. A K01 stands 609.6 mm (24 in.) tall retracted and sits under the counter. So do not install a Klimbo unit at the lavatory that serves as the required accessible lavatory: place the units at the other lavatories in the room and leave the accessible one clear.
At those other lavatories, confirm on the drawing, not on site, that the unit and its projection of 279 mm (11 in.) from the counter, step lowered, do not encroach on a required clear floor or manoeuvring space.
No step stool is "ADA compliant." The ADA does not address step stools, and compliance is a property of the installation. These units support lavatories designed per 2010 ADA Standards section 606; they replace no required clearance. See compliance and product data.
