Klimbo is the fourth option: a step that is part of the building. Anchored to the floor, deployed with a foot, retracted by itself, and out of everyone else's way.

1DEPLOY

The child pulls the step out with one foot

The step swings down from under the counter. No handles, no hand contact, nothing to learn.

2STEP UP

They climb on and wash their hands

An anti slip tread made from recycled tires, rated for 815 lb, so an adult can stand on it too.

3RETRACT

The step folds back by itself

As soon as they step off, the step returns under the counter. The aisle stays clear for the next person, a mop, or a wheelchair.

Built for equipping many restrooms at once and for upgrading existing ones. Powder coated steel, a counterweight that returns the step by gravity, and roughly half the unit cost of the K01.

Installation and finish

Anchored to the slab. Everything else stays as it is.

A drill, anchors, and a few minutes per unit

Both models anchor into the concrete floor slab in front of the sink. No plumbing changes, no counter modification, no wall work, and no electrical. That is what makes Klimbo a retrofit product as much as a new build one.

Installation guides for both models are published on klimbo.co.
Cleaning: the step retracts off the floor, so mopping goes right under it. No hinges or springs exposed on the floor side.

Your color, your signage, your brand

Standard units ship in RAL 7047 Telegrey. Both models can be ordered in any of 190 RAL classic colors or in Axalta metallic finishes, and the body can carry your logo or a message to your visitors. Every unit below left the Montréal shop for a customer.

Questions we get from facilities teams

Straight answers.

Will it hold an adult?

Yes. Both models are rated by the manufacturer for 815 lb (370 kg). Adults of short stature use it too, which is part of the point.

Does it need power or a wall?

No. Klimbo is purely mechanical. It anchors to the concrete floor slab only. Nothing attaches to the wall, the counter, or the plumbing.

What happens when a child forgets to put it back?

Nothing to forget. The step retracts by itself as soon as their weight comes off it, on the K01 through an internal mechanism and on the K02 through a counterweight.

How is it cleaned?

Like the rest of the restroom. The finish is a polyester powder coat that stands up to standard restroom cleaners, and because the step retracts off the floor, the crew mops right under it.

Which model should we specify?

K01 where the restroom is a showcase or a wet, chlorinated environment, and where a five year warranty matters. K02 where you are equipping many restrooms and want the lowest cost per unit. Many operators mix both across a portfolio.
